If Marilyn Monroe were to awaken in 2025, she would no longer be just an icon of beauty, but a woman ready to rebel against the stereotypes and standards imposed by contemporary society. From this reflection comes “Reclaming Marilyn”, the collection by Chiara Angela Graziano, third-year Fashion Design student at the Istituto di Moda Burgo in Rome.
Through bows, kisses, and delicate shades, the collection recalls the romantic and authentic side of femininity, contrasted with a reality shaped by judgment and conformity. The garments thus become acts of resistance: symbols of courage, boldness, and freedom, where imperfections turn into gold and fragilities reveal themselves as strength.
“Reclaming Marilyn” is an invitation to awaken the Marilyn within each of us: aware, intelligent, sensual, and above all, free to choose—without fear of showing one’s true authenticity.
