Millinery is the art of hat making, an essential accessory to complete any look to the fullest.During this course the student will learn techniques for making various types of women’s headgear, including accessories such as headbands and bridal accessories. Once the basics are mastered, they will proceed with the study of decoration techniques, such as making fabric flowers, dyeing and embroidery with loom appliquรฉs. By the end of the course, the student will have made several hats and have a thorough understanding of the entire creative process.
Being a short course, the number of hats that can be made varies from about 3 to 7, depending on the student’s ability.

  • The necessary tools used in millinery
  • Head measurement technique
  • Shaping of the felt technique
  • Choice of the forms to be realize on a mold
  • Finishing techniques with decorative elements of the hat
  • Study of the various techniques processing for the realization of decorative elements.

Realization from 3 to 7 hats (depending on the student’s abilities)

The enrolment fee is to be paid only for the first year, it is not required again for the following years or if the student decides to change or add a course.
